Through a kaleidoscope of artistic expression, the musician and songwriter Philippos Pliatsikas, manages to highlight the musical richness of Greece.

“The Other Side of Greece” is a project presenting a multi-artistic approach to Greek culture. The project mixtures artistic genres with multiple styles, with an eye to the future, loyalty and respect on the past and tradition.

With him on stage , 10 years after the broke up of the band “Pix Lax” and 3 years after the legendary reunion of the band with 80.000 audience at the Olympic Stadium of Athens and 50.000 audience at the Kaftatzoglio Stadium in Thessaloniki, Babis Stokas. They meet each other again for this unique show.

The incredible Georgia Dagaki with her deep voice and her Cretan lyra will bring an alternative approach to Greek traditional sound and the very special guest of this show, Uwe Banton, the kourou of the reggae scene in Germany will give a memorable “touch” to the melodies by mixing the Greek sound with his magnificent reggae talent.

The first part of the European tour completed with great success, visiting London (The Forum), Brussels (Cirque Royal), Amsterdam (Arena Hall) and Paris (Le Gibus) performing in sold out shows.

Poems written by the great poets Cavafy, Seferis and Elytis, will meet the present and future of Greece. Under the director’s guidance, Stathis Livathinos, the actors will present on stage those magnificent masterpieces to the crowd when at the same time through video projection, Katia Gerou, Dimitris Imellos, Emilios Chelakis and other actors will escort with a great match the live show made by the director Yolanda Markopoulou.

“The Other Side of Greece” is a project made by the will of presenting to the world the positive and creative side of Greece through these rough years, expressed with the most powerful weapon that unites nationalities and cultures of the world, art.
